Jawa motorcycles look very stylish with a full retro theme. As we know 2020 Jawa 42 BS6 variant was launched in the India market and available in two variants, single-channel ABS and dual-channel ABS with different price tags. The high variant priced at INR 1.74 lakh (Ex-showroom).
Coming into specifications it has 293 cc, single-cylinder, DOHC engine that makes maximum output power of 26.51 HP and 27.05 Nm of peak torque. The suspension duties on the front are telescopic hydraulic forks and at the rear hydraulic twin-shock absorbers.
Overall the design, performance, and average seat height is good. But disappointing thing is rider feels few vibrations on a motorcycle when hits above 80 km/h. Possibly achieve top-speed 120 km/h and probably it has vibrations so not go at high-speed on this bike.
Jawa offers decent 14 liters of the fuel tank and it can claim 490-500 kilometers for an onetime fuel tank. Jawa included a fuel-injected system for better mileage and the average fuel economy of the bike is around 32-35 km/l. An interesting thing is Jawa equipped a flat handlebar, so the rider can make easily U-turns in city roads, even pass through traffic because it has great handling characteristics.
It has offset instrument console and likely hard to understand speedometer to a rider for the first time because speedometer shows in reverse. The group clearance is 165 mm which quite decent but should carefully at high-speed breakers. If you looking for a vintage-style bike with fewer vibrations with better stability and more power then should choose updated version Jawa Perak or Benelli Imperiale 400 instead of Jawa 42.
