Yamaha discontinued R3 old version motorcycles in India. The new generation 2021 Yamaha R3 is been revealed for a few countries earlier and now officially unveiled for the Japanese market with a price tag of 6,87,500 yen. Good thing Yamaha will start delivering this motorcycle from 15th January in Japan. Hopefully can see a new generation YZF-R3 sports bike in India by first-quarter 2021. The expected ex-showroom price for Indian specs Yamaha R3 is Rs 3.70 lakh. The price could 20k more than the preceding model.
Two models are available one is the Standard model and another Movistar model. There is no much difference you’ll find, only some graphics designs are added on R3 Movistar. Yamaha reduced 0.8 Nm torque in the latest generation of YZF-R3. And three color options available Icon Blue, Midnight Black, and a weird Cyan Metallic color. Yamaha updated the instrument console on 2021 YZF-R3. The digital instrument cluster show gear position, fuel warning, and trip meter.
The inline two-cylinder engine produces a maximum power of 41 HP at 10,750 rpm and 29.2 Nm peak torque at 9,000 rpm. The Dual-channel ABS safety features also added and equipped a 299 mm single disc on the front and a 220 mm disc at the rear. But Yamaha R15 V3 looks more aggressive than the latest generation of YZF-R3. The aerodynamic is improved, on the front of two headlamp airflow directly pass through the flat radiator for better engine cooling. 2021 YZF-R3 will be definitely against Benelli 302R and Ninja 300.
