Actually, in the last year, BMW showcased it’s heavy weighted machine R18 which was based on 1936 model R5. Recently BMW launched 2021 R18 in the international market and likely to launch in the Indian market in mid-September 2020. Actually in India, BMW Motorrad planned to reveal this cruiser bike in April.
But due to the pandemic time launch event was postponed. From last month BMW is accepting bookings for 2021 R18 by depositing 1 lakh rupees. Couple of days in Chattisgarh BMW finally showing in privately one preview unit to a few customers who are more curious about it. The 2020 R18 was available in two variants Standard, First Edition, and still no announcement regarding ex-showroom price.
But we can expect it could be around INR 22 lakh. Well, coming specifications of R18 is powered by 1802 cc, 1.8-liter air-and oil-cooled BS6 complicated engine that capable of churning out maximum output power 91 HP at 4.750 rpm and 158 Nm of peak torque at 3,000 rpm.
This premium heavy weighted cruiser comes with a single-seat and perfect center of gravity with a low seating position. The things like design, body components, and upfront round LED headlight beings retro theme to the bike. The main highlight features like automatic cornering indicators and for better riding included three different riding modes.
