This Austrian brand KTM could like to introduce the most awaited 490 series. KTM do a lot of promotions in the Indian market and also got a good number of sales units last year. KTM collaborates with Bajaj Auto and panning to manufacture upcoming KTM bikes in India. So, the price will also drop a bit automatically. We can expect KTM 490 series in India in mid-2021.
The expected 490 series are 490 Duke, RC 490, and an Adventure 490. Some of the expected features like a dual-channel ABS system, LED headlamp, fully digital instrument cluster, and a large rear tire for more grip. The layout of RC 490 will be differently familiar to KTM RC 390. KTM will equip twin parallel cylinders 490 cc engines and this 490 Duke will be standing on Duke 790.
If everything was good then, KTM will reveal this 490 series in the upcoming year and almost all basic document verification with Bajaj was completed, also a day back INR 650 crores were invested in the Chakan plant which was located at Pune. This new investment was especially for making a new kind of motorcycles for KTM and one thing is not sure where this parallel-twin engine will goona be manufacturing.
The KTM RC 390 will generate 41 BHP so, according to a couple of flash reports KTM 490 twin parallel engine produces a maximum power of 60 horsepower.
